I was searching for opportunities to teach abroad. ATI
appeared to be legitimate and the more I read the more I
liked the idea of teaching and placement. So I signed up.
Very good. We were told that there were basketball and
football games and we were able to play one day. |

I searched Korea teaching jobs in google and found ATI
Thai-Korea project. It seemed the best option for me.
Bangkok was a nice location, we were in a convenient
location to get out into the city. The course provided me
with the essential knowledge for my placement in Korea. |

1. Location
2. Cost/ accomodation
3. Job placement
It was an intensive course but also very interesting. |

It seemed to be very comprehensive and had all the
criteria I was looking for guaranteed lifetime job
placement.
I liked that it was in a non-touristy area. ATI itself I
found to be extremely disorganized, lacking in communication
and lacking in ability to clear and consistence information.
The process of getting a foreign visa and all else we had to
do is already an extremely cumbersome process and ATI
definitely could have been much more helpful in telling us
in advance all that we would need. |

I liked the fact that the course was for 3 weeks and
then we were placed in a job for 4-5 months. The price of
doing it in Thailand was lot cheaper than doing it Australia
and other places.
Being from a small town Bangkok was initially intimidating
but it grew on me within a few days. Also the friendly
staffs at the hotel helped a lot. As for the course it was
perfect pace. The instructor was always approachable to
answer. ATI did not give me the detail information on when
and where I will be working. |

We did a lot of research on different programmes and
applied to many different programmes but ATI was most eager
to have us and made the application process straight
forward.
I have really enjoyed the programme. It would have made me
more comfortable to know prior to arriving that the course
was going to be intensive and helpful (with workbooks,
homework, intensive lesson planning etc). In this regard I
wish there had not been so many surprises along the way
(with the application, visa etc). I think all the details
about the course should be laid out at the beginning. Jess
and Suzy were very helpful with all of our questions- it
would have been nice to meet them. |

I saw a website regarding the training in Thailand and
teaching in Korea. After researching about the company and
finding the review I decided to go through with the program
because it was working with Korvia.
The location was great. Hotel staffs were friendly and the
amenities were great. My experience with ATI has been great
overall. The early process was a bit difficult as there did
not seem to be swift responses from Alex and Aria during the
first month of my application. But gradually when the things
were more settled, the process was better and Aria was much
more responsive to my mails. |

It had really good advertisement. I chose it because it
includes a TESOL training course outside US before Korean
placement.
Sometime I felt the application process a bit
unprofessional. I had a really good experience with the
course itself. I thought the course was well thought out and
provided helpful information. Teaching in schools was a
really valuable experience. |

Excellent Experience!!
Wish I could have gotten placement in Korea through ATI but
it all worked out in the end. |

The advertisement for TESOL course spend 3 weeks in Thailand
and guaranteed job placement in Korea was very noticeable in
‘Daves ESL Café’. When I went through the ATI website I
thought it looked very professional and I also did not find
bad reviews anywhere.
Being in Bangkok was a great experience and one I have
enjoyed. I found I get a lot more from the course than I
expected. It was very informative and helpful. I liked the
pace as I felt a lot got covered and having a week of
teaching experience is great as we get feedback before going
and ‘teaching for final’. |

I did weeks of research on TEFL/TESOL organisation that were
affordable.
I will recommend modifying the hotels. |

It was one of the best websites which I found in the
internet.
Hotel staffs were friendly and helpful. Very enjoyable. |

I chose ATI because of the opportunity to train in Thailand
and work in Korea and for the in-class teaching experience.
I really liked the course. Whittney is a great teacher and
it was really good to work in Thai classroom. Also it was
convenient to have our classes and housing at the same
location. |

Location- Thailand, cost and soonest date available.
Alex responded immediately and telephone when he said he
would. Alex and Suzy were on top of all I needed to complete
before getting on the plane. Very low pressure and
informative. Excellent, informative, useful and interesting
training. Organized and fun. Whittney was overly helpful
with question from A to Z. Toi was essential for translating
and Pat has successfully placed me in a teaching position.

Dave’s ESL café brought this program in light. I had already
made up my to find a teaching job in Korea, but I jumped
when I saw the Special Thai-Korean project. ATI offered the
best program – getting to know Thailand and getting
certified to teach English as a second language was more
than ideal. I did not have any expectation going into this.
Three weeks later, I do not want it to end. I will be taking
away so much information and useful practices with me. From
the trainer to the material, the location and stepping into
a Thai school, everything has been more than great!!! I
would do it again. |

When I decided to teach abroad I spoke to many people
who have done it before. Most of them told me it would be
best to get certified first. ATI came up in almost every
conversation. So I did some research, contacted ATI and
became a part of the program. This was an amazing
opportunity that I was thankful to be a part of. The people
I have met and things I have seen will always be precious to
me. Everything I have learned through ATI will be my most
valuable tool while educating my students. I have a plan to
go Northern China, and I like to teach young people at
there. |

It had favorable feedback. The course matched when I
would be available. Chiang Mai is a very quiet and beautiful
city conducive to this type of training – it allowed use
space and opportunity to learn and absorb more. Our group
was small so the experience was much more intimate and
intense than if we had a larger group. Overall, it was an
auspicious experience. |

I chose to take this project because I won’t to teach back
home. Also this will allow me to travel as well. With this
added experience, I will know for sure whether I want to
pursue teaching in Ca |

I like the idea of being able to work in many different
countries, so teaching English is a good solution. I also
like traveling especially to far-flung places & being able
to integrate & spend long time at each place. |

There are several reasons. The first concern is my enjoyment
of other cultures, & the way it teaches one the flexible,
yet durable characters of the cultures, we were all born
into. Secondly, I have not had any experience in East Asia
in my life as of yet. I also wanted to further my knowledge
of education. |

I wanted to get experience in teaching English as a second
language. Also I wanted the opportunity to travel and see an
exotic location. I love learning languages and want to take
that love of another country. Hopefully, this will be a
platform to join the Peace Corps. |

I wanted to do this project because I believe that actual
teaching practice is very important. I have no experience in
teaching, and so I can definitely use the practice. I am
also very excited to be in Thailand! |

For practical reason I wanted to teach in the more modern
country of Korean and felt that I would be comfortable
living there, but I also had a strong interest in the
culture and landscape of Thailand. So a chance to spend time
in both countries and also become certified as a TESOL
teacher fulfilled all my needs and interests. |

As a child and through middle school I had the opportunity
of living overseas in several foreign countries. I even
lived in Seoul, Korea for a few years and always remembered
it fondly. When the opportunity came up to go back to Korea
in the capacity of a teacher, I was excited to become a part
of the project. |

I wanted to combine my post teaching experience with my
passion of travel and cultural diversity. I really enjoy
being a positive role model for children and having an
impact on their lives. This combination will allow main to
gain many rewarding experiences that will make me a better
educator. |

I decided to do this project because I wanted to not only
travel but do something for someone besides myself. I just
graduated so I decided now was the best time to do this. I
am excited to learn to teach. English is such a useful
language, and I’m excited to share it! |

I choose to take this project for the personal traveling
experiences, as well as the professional knowledge I will
gain from this course. I have chosen education for my career
and have always felt that ESL methods are important to learn
more about as a teacher. I will use these experiences in the
future in the classroom to understand students’ individual
differences and needs. |

Given China’s increasing prominence on the international
scene, I wish to go and teach there in order to learn
Mandarin and assess professional opportunities. I also have
an interest in Chinese culture and have a desire to impart
knowledge to willing students. |

I took this TESOL class in Thailand because I thought it
would be a fantastic way to get certified in teaching
English while concurrently exploring a new culture.
Furthermore learning to teach a foreign language atmosphere
should add to my capacity for understanding the difficulties
of foreign-language acquisition, especially when there is no
common language between teacher and student. |

1. I love teaching, but I wanted a new experience.
2. I had no stamps in my passport.
3. My brother was a TESOL teacher.
4. It sounded fun to do the course in a foreign country.

The intriguing part about this project was the fact that I

I wanted to become certified before staying to teach in
Asia, and I prefer learning in a classroom setting rather
than online, so when I found this program it has a good fit.
I also liked that it helped set us up with a advisor in
Korea. |
