About Cities - South Korea

Busan - This is the second largest metropolitan city, second only to the capital Seoul. This city definitely deserves the status of one of the highly rated tourist destinations in South Korea. Busan is also known as Pusan and is affectionately known as South Korea’s summer capital. It is known for its white sandy beaches and lush green mountains. Tourists flock to this city to capture the best naturally settings, always returning with a memorable experience. Incheon - This international metropolis, also a major seaport, has historically been one of Korea’s important cultural and religious centers. Named the “English City” in 2007, there was a surge in the demand for ESL teachers. Till date, because of Incheon’s status as a domestic and international hub as well as its close proximity to Seoul, ESL teachers are very much favored.

Daegu - This city is the third largest in the Yeongnam region and is situated to the southeast of South Korea. Surrounded by hills, the city offers panoramic views of Mt. Palgongsan and Mt. Biseulsan. Daegu has a rich historical heritage and termed as “City of Hope,” Daegu is an attractive destination for travelers to visit and indulge in.

The biggest tourist attraction is the city’s colorful Kimchi Festival held in October annually to promote the excellent quality of traditional kimchi and to commercialize it as a tourist product.

Daejeon - This city is well-known for its stature in terms of advanced science and technology, communication, various research Institutes and science parks. Daejeon is truly captivating with its numerous natural and artificial scenic sights.

Ulsan - This gorgeous city situated on the banks of Tawhagang River is the industrial hub of South Korea. Travelers to this city will have an enriching cultural experience.

Gangwon - Situated in the centre of the Korean Peninsular, Gangwon is reputed as a well-planned urbanized city. It offers opportunities for exciting outdoors sports and adventure activities. The city is rapidly growing as an enticing tourist destination.

Jeju - This is a small island located at the southern coast of South Korea. It is known for its pristine and clean waters, rich flora and fauna and enticing weather. One cannot help noticing the spectacular waterfalls which provides a memorable experience for tourists. The biggest tourist’s attraction in the city is the Fire festival.

Seoul – The capital city Seoul has lots to offer in terms of attractions. Seoul is home to over 10 million people, making it one of the largest cities in the world by population. Modern Seoul begins from a city called Han yang and one will instantly be able to observe the contrast between age old richly-mellowed architecture found before Han yang and the striking skyscraper skyline of modern Korea from Han yang.
